Snake Eater™ Tactical Gear

Seven Seas Canvas proudly introduces the Snake Eater™ line of ruggedized outdoor canvas products. These products are specially designed for individuals who spend extended periods of time in the field– from the hunter who spends three days tracking an elk, to the professional operator who spends months at a time in hostile environments.

The Snake Eater™ product line includes bags, utility belts, thumb-break magazine pouches, large capacity magazine pouches, chest rigs and more. Check back often as we are continually adding new and improved gear.

Every inch of Snake Eater™ gear is over–built and reinforced for rough use.

All webbing is attached by Box-X stitches, not with the normal bar tacks you see on standard gear. Box-X stitches spread loads better, and are much more durable.
All fabric is 1000 Cordura, and we use only mil-spec webbing and buckles, that are made in the USA.
Only #8 and #10 YKK Derlin tooth zippers are used. These zippers are heavy duty and will stand the test of time.
All seams are double sewn or top stitched with 138 polyester thread. Standard-issue military equipment is sewn with nylon E thread. 138 polyester is equivalent to military FF thread and is much stronger and more resistant to UV radiation.

The Snake Eater™ product line is designed to be useful and versatile, yet remain simple. We believe in designing everything to have multiple purposes…this enhances the utility of your equipment, without adding equipment. The extensive use of PALS webbing adds to the utility of all products.

All work is performed in-house at our shop located in Oregon City, OR. The items listed below can be purchased as-is or with customizations. In-stock items ship within 3 days. For most custom orders, fabrication time is between 2 to 3 weeks. We will be very honest about time frames. If there is an extented backlog, we will inform you when your order is placed. We value and encourage feedback from our clients. This enables us to continue to improve the quality and utility of our products. The Snake Eater Rucksack:

Classic, single compartment, open top rucksack.
Primary compartment measures 12″ wide, 6″ thick and 22″ tall.
Inner pocket measuring 12″ by 18″ for holding a water bladder or poncho.
Top lid is an 11″x 3″x6″ zippered pocket for smaller items.
The outside of the bag has 9 rows of PALS webbing. This allows the ruck to be configured for a multitude of purposes.
The shoulder straps are 2″ wide and padded with closed cell foam. They also feature 1 1/2″ side release buckles.
The 2″ webbing waist strap is compatible with the Snake Eater padded war belt.

Shoulder strap has a continuous length of 1 1/2" backpack webbing with accessory loops every 2".

The carry handle is made from the continuous 1 1/2" shoulder strap webbing. It is secured with 2 box X stitches.

Each side has three adjuster bars sewn to the PALS webbing for the addition of compression straps.

The inner pocket can be seen here, as well as the heavy duty #1 spur grommets and para cord drawstring.

The Snake Eater padded war belt:

1/2″ closed cell foam padding.
Heavy duty PALS webbing all the way around.
2″ inner belt is reinforced for use with holsters.
PALS webbing is sewn to individual sections that are 3″ wide. The inner belt can be woven outside at any point for use with traditional leather or Kydex holsters.
Comes with 4 removable steel D rings for attachment of suspenders or chest rig.
Snake Eater war belt is compatible with the rucksack, adding to the utility of both items.

MOLLE Compatible
Retention straps velcro to the inside and are adjustable to the height of the magazine.
Works with most .308/7.62 rifle magazines.
Hems are turned outward for snag free operation.
Both sides of the pouch are identical.
Pouches can be stacked on top of one another.

Double stacked magazines are held in individual pouches for positive retention and fast mag changes.
Flaps cover full width of magazines and can be secured in the open position.
1′ webbing pull tabs pointing up and down on each flap.
Fully adjustable for use with or without body armor.
Pocket behind pouches has hook and loop closures and can store maps or other flat items.
All seams are double sewn for maximum strength.
All webbing is attached with box X stitches.
Hems on mag pouches are folded outward for snag free operation.
