Snake Eater Tactical is now offering a double mag pouch for 7.62mm rifles.  It is constructed from 1000 Cordura and Berry Compliant materials.  The first feature that sets this pouch apart from others on the market is it’s individual compartments.  The  individual compartments keep the magazines from rattling against each other.  They also securely retain the second magazine after the first one has been drawn.  The mags go in nice and easy and draw out even easier.  This system eliminates the need for elastic webbing which weakens over time.  The second and most notable feature on this pouch is the way we staggered the magazines.  The front one sits 1″ higher than the rear.  This makes it much easier to grab during high stress reloads.   And of course this pouch has all the usual features one would expect to find on a quality mag pouch such as a heavy pull tab on the flap, 2″ hook and loop, and grommeted drain holes.  Every inch of these pouches are rugged and built to last multiple campaigns.  We take pride in paying attention to small details.  For example, when dealing with hook and loop tape, the loop side always wears out first.  So on these pouches, like all Snake Eater products, the loop side is sewn to the flap.  This way it can be more easily replaced without having to disassemble the pouch.  This extends the useful service life.  These pouches are currently available in Coyote, Woodland MARPAT and Desert MARPAT.  They will soon be available in Desert and Woodland A-TACS.  Custom orders are being taken for high capacity magazines (such as 25 rd CMI) or camouflage patterns not listed.(These pouches are designed for 20rd M-14 and 20 rd PMags, but should work with most 7.62 magazines.  Satisfaction is guaranteed)

These pics were sent in by a satisfied Marine.  They show the versatility of the Snake Eater belt.  It works well with suspenders, it accepts any commercially available MOLLE compatible pouch, and it can be used with drop holsters.  This particular belt is a second generation.  The second gen belt is actually a system of two belts.  The padded belt and a 1 3/4″ inner pant belt.  The padded belt  has 2″ pile tape sewn around the inside.  The double layer nylon pant belt has hook sewn around the outside.  This solves the problem of the heavy padded belt shifting around while running, jumping, climbing or hitting the deck.  This method has been in use  for years on various law enforcement duty belts.  The second generation Snake Eater Belts will be available for purchase on-line in the coming weeks.  The first generation belts will be available for $65 while supplies last.  The second generation belt system will be $99.  With the second gen belts, we will be expanding our available camouflage patterns to include: Woodland and Desert MARPAT, and Woodland and Desert A-TACS.
